These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern quotes, scheduling, and work performed by KG Epoxy for epoxy flooring and related services. By requesting a quote, paying a deposit, or allowing us to begin work, you agree to these Terms.
We provide a written scope (the “Quote”) describing the area(s), system type (solid, flake, quartz, metallic), prep method, repairs, and price. Quotes are based on visible conditions and measurements provided or taken by us. Hidden conditions (e.g., moisture, loose slabs, coatings under tile/paint) may require change orders.
You agree to provide clear access to the work area, adequate lighting, electrical power, and a weather‑tight space. All vehicles, belongings, and obstacles must be removed before our arrival. Temperature and humidity must be maintained within manufacturer limits during install and cure. If we are delayed by site conditions outside our control, additional charges may apply.
Our standard prep includes dustless diamond grinding and minor crack/joint repairs. Structural movement, control/joint rebuilding, and concrete replacement are not included unless listed. Some cracks may telegraph after coating; this cosmetic effect is not a failure.
Concrete moisture/vapor can cause coating failure. We may test for relative humidity (RH) or moisture vapor emission rate (MVER). If readings exceed system limits, moisture‑tolerant primers or mitigation will be quoted as a change order. We are not responsible for failures caused by hydrostatic pressure or moisture conditions not addressed per our recommendations.
We use professional‑grade resins and topcoats from trusted manufacturers. Colors and metallic effects may vary from samples due to substrate, lighting, and application. Flake/quartz distribution is hand‑broadcast and will vary naturally. Client approvals are taken from wet samples, chips, or color charts.
Typical light foot traffic is allowed after 12–24 hours; vehicle traffic after 24–72 hours depending on system and temperature. You are responsible for protecting the surface from water, dust, pets, and traffic until we confirm it is ready for use.
Any change to the scope (additional rooms, cove base, heavy repairs, removals, moisture mitigation) requires a written change order and may adjust the price and schedule.
Unless noted otherwise: 30% deposit to schedule, balance due upon substantial completion and walk‑through. We accept card, ACH, or check. Late balances may accrue a 1.5% monthly service charge (or the maximum allowed by law). Chargebacks on authorized work are treated as non‑payment.
If you cancel within 72 hours of the scheduled start, we may retain reasonable mobilization costs and any special‑order materials. Weather or safety issues may require rescheduling without penalty.
Workmanship warranty is 1–5 years depending on the system listed on your Quote. We will repair or recoat affected areas at our option. Warranty does not cover: substrate movement, structural cracks, moisture/hydrostatic pressure, fire/flood/abuse, chemical burns, improper maintenance, tire dressings or harsh solvents, or damage caused by other trades. Warranty service requires full payment of the original invoice.
Clean routinely with a dust mop and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive pads and strong solvents. Use soft rubber wheels/feet on equipment. Request our Care Guide for detailed instructions.
With your permission, we may photograph before/after images of the project location. We will not disclose your address or personally identifying details.
We follow manufacturer safety guidance and maintain appropriate insurance. You agree to keep children, pets, and other trades out of the work area during install and cure.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the work is limited to the amount you paid for the specific project. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
We aim to resolve issues quickly. If we cannot, the parties agree to attempt informal resolution, then either small‑claims court or binding arbitration in Franklin County, Ohio, under applicable rules. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
We are not responsible for delays or non‑performance caused by events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, supply shortages, utility outages, strikes, epidemics).
We may update these Terms for future projects by posting a new effective date. Your signed Quote or deposit after the update indicates acceptance.
